Ride-Height Corrected Caster Geometry – Unlike many aftermarket upper control arms designed around a fixed amount of correction for one predetermined leveling height, the Axiom control arms feature caster correction engineered directly into the arm geometry to provide usable alignment range across stock, leveled, and lifted ride heights.
True Double-Shear Construction – Built from identical upper and lower 3/16" steel plates that are precision laser cut and hand welded into a single rigid structure. Supporting the ball joint mounting area from both sides distributes suspension loads more effectively while maximizing strength and rigidity.
Equipped with AX6292 Grade 12.9 Ball Joints – Every system includes a pair of Axiom Supply AX6292 Bolt-On Upper Ball Joints featuring our Grade 12.9 Extreme-Duty Ball Stud technology for exceptional strength, steering precision, and resistance to deformation under heavy loads.
Forged Torsion Leveling Keys – Heavy-duty forged keys provide up to 2" of adjustable front ride height while maintaining the proper torsion-bar indexing and adjustment range required for the GM HD suspension.
Shock Extension System – Allows the factory-length front shocks to operate properly at the increased ride height while restoring usable shock travel and helping maintain suspension performance.
Corrected Suspension Geometry – Addresses the unfavorable upper ball joint and control arm angles created when the factory torsion-bar suspension is leveled, improving articulation, suspension travel, and overall front-end operation.

Description
The Axiom Supply Stage 2 Leveling System for 2001-2010 GM HD Trucks was developed for owners looking for substantially more than a basic torsion-key leveling kit.
Traditional leveling kits increase front ride height by re-indexing the torsion bars, but raising the suspension also changes upper control arm position, ball joint operating angle, available droop travel, and alignment geometry.
The Axiom Stage 2 System addresses the entire front suspension system rather than simply raising the truck.
At the foundation of the system are Axiom Supply forged torsion leveling keys, providing up to 2" of adjustable front ride height to reduce factory rake and create additional clearance for larger wheel and tire combinations.
Included shock extensions allow the factory-length shocks to accommodate the increased ride height while preserving usable shock travel throughout the suspension cycle.
But ride height is only part of the equation.
The included Axiom Supply Heavy-Duty Upper Control Arms were specifically engineered to correct the suspension geometry associated with stock, leveled, and lifted GM HD applications.
Unlike many competing aftermarket upper control arms that incorporate a predetermined amount of caster correction intended around one specific leveling height, Axiom engineered the caster geometry into the control arm to provide usable alignment correction throughout a broad range of ride heights.
This allows an alignment technician to properly set caster and camber based on the truck's actual suspension height and configuration, rather than forcing the truck to work around geometry intended for one fixed lift setting.
The result is improved straight-line stability, steering return-to-center, alignment capability, suspension articulation, and overall driving characteristics whether the truck remains close to stock height or is set at the full leveling range.
The Axiom control arms also restore available droop travel that can be lost when the factory suspension is raised using torsion keys alone. Improved ball joint operating angles allow the suspension to articulate more naturally without forcing the upper ball joint toward the limits of its available travel.
Structurally, each arm is built around Axiom's true double-shear design, utilizing matching upper and lower 3/16" laser-cut steel plates that are hand welded into one rigid assembly.
Rather than supporting the ball joint from a single mounting surface, the double-shear architecture captures the ball joint mounting area from both sides, distributing suspension loads more evenly and significantly increasing rigidity under demanding steering and suspension loads.
Each arm comes equipped with an Axiom Supply AX6292 Bolt-On Upper Ball Joint featuring our Grade 12.9 Extreme-Duty Ball Stud technology.
The serviceable bolt-in design allows the ball joint to be replaced independently from the control arm while providing the strength required for large tires, heavy vehicles, towing, aggressive terrain, and modified suspension systems.
Axiom's dual-position ball joint mounting design adds another level of suspension setup flexibility by allowing the ball joint to be positioned above or below the mounting plate depending on the vehicle's suspension configuration.
Combined with premium bushings, precision sleeves, serviceable components, improved grease-fitting access, forged torsion keys, and shock extensions, the Stage 2 System creates a complete front suspension package designed to work together rather than a collection of unrelated leveling components.

The included Axiom Supply AX6292 utilizes the common aftermarket bolt-in upper ball joint pattern associated with:

The AX6292 is a serviceable bolt-in ball joint designed for compatible aftermarket GM HD upper control arms.
Note: K6292 interchange applies to the bolt-in ball joint used with compatible aftermarket upper control arms. It is not the same design as the factory press-in upper ball joint used in the original stamped GM control arm.
Maintenance
Apply approximately 3 pumps of grease to each ball joint during installation.
For continued performance, service each ball joint every 5,000-7,000 miles.
Use only the amount of grease necessary to properly lubricate the joint and avoid over-greasing.
Periodically inspect ball joints, control arm bushings, torsion-key adjustment hardware, shock extensions, and suspension mounting hardware—particularly on vehicles used off-road, for heavy towing, or with oversized tires.
