Torque Specifications

Front Axle / Wheel Drive Shaft Nut

Always install a NEW axle nut.

First Pass: 244 lb-ft (330 N·m)

Second Pass: Loosen nut 45°

Final Pass: 199 lb-ft (270 N·m)

Inner CV Axle Flange Bolts

8 Bolts — Inner CV Flange to Front Differential

Torque: 74 lb-ft (100 N·m)

Tighten the inner flange bolts evenly in a crisscross pattern.

Proper fastener torque is critical to CV axle, wheel bearing, and drivetrain longevity. Follow the complete OEM installation procedure and do not substitute impact-gun tightening for the final axle nut torque procedure.
